Kings XI Punjab recorded their first victory of the IPL with a comfortable victory over the Mumbai Indians at Mohali. Batting first the Punjab Kings put on 182 in their 20 overs thanks mainly to a brilliant knock of 94 by Kumar Sangakarra. The Mumbai Indians never looked to be in the chase and finished at 116/9 after their 20 overs.
With this defeat the Mumbai Indians join the Deccan Chargers at the bottom of the table. Both the teams have now lost all their 3 matches.
